Somehow, the news that Dubya's defense department was, apparently, scheming against State with their old Iran-Contra crony from the Reagan administration, Manucher Ghorbanifar -- with the apparent intent to undermine negotiations towards joint action against al-Qaeda (you know, the folks that attacked us) -- has kind of taken it out of me.
