In his speech at the RNC, Zell Miller had this to say:

While young Americans are dying in the sands of Iraq and the mountains of Afghanistan, our nation is being torn apart and made weaker because of the Democrats' manic obsession to bring down our commander in chief.

Because it just couldn't possibly be that the Democrats actually think he's fighting the "war on terror" badly, and think they have a better idea of how to do it. (Unlike Nixon, who really did have a secret plan to win the war on Vietnam. Really and truly).

No, it's absolutely clear that our current armed conflicts are being managed the best way they possibly could be. After all, look at the blogs of folks who still support the war, and the administration, and go so far as to call Dubya's critics victims of something called "Bush Derangement Syndrome". Why, if there was any serious evidence that it was being mismanaged -- that billions of dollars were being thrown away or simply lost, or that the actual war on terror was being neglected for a campaign that's an unnecessary sideshow -- those folks would be screaming bloody murder. And they're not.

No worries, then. Right?
