Fun fact: Alan Greenspan received the Enron Award for Distinguished Public service. Even in fall, 2001, as the company fell into its death spiral, having already confessed to cooking the books, it wasn't ashamed to give the award, and a recent documentary shows him beaming, receiving it.

It's been common, in liberal circles lately, to wonder if Greenspan isn't a bit of a political hack. But perhaps, to be fair and balanced, we should also be touting his awards and achievements -- particularly the lesser-known ones. This one in particular seems... worthy of note.
