Two brief notes, then, while regular blogging is on hiatus:
First, a lot of conservative bloggers lately seem disappointed in Colin Powell, having belatedly discovered that his foreign policy is what it appears to be. Shouldn't those complaints be more properly directed at Powell's boss?
Second, someone on NPR this morning paraphrased the Palestinian spokesman-cum-negotiator Erakat as complaining that Sharon's "wall building" is immorally exploiting the suicide bombings for political purposes. I guess that sort of thing is only moral for Palestinians.
In the meantime, if anyone would like to recommend reasonably late-model laptops which permit fairly trouble free Linux installs (I'd rather not have to download graphics drivers, or compile a custom kernel to get power management working, though the modems are pretty much a lost cause), I'd appreciate recommendations; the email address is over there on the left... political purposes
